Gotcha Mr . Alan thanks my bread is 2 slices for 15 carbs
For Clara we discovered that the low carb bread is good for sandwhiches at lunch, but the double fiber bread (Orowheat brand) is better for breakfast.
Hey, I just noticed that your sugar was good all day. Hurrah!
I think you should skip ceareal in the morning and see what happens if you have it for lunch or a snack, since you enjoy it. My youngest (non D) loves a bowl of cereal before bed, but we don’t have sweet cereals - Cheerios, Rice Puffins, Autumn Wheat (similar to Mini Wheats but without the frosting), and Uncle Sam (very fibrous).
Hey guys we found something out by accident about my morning blood sugars . We were running late 1 morning so I checked and I was 140 when I woke up I didnt eat anything except 2 turkey bacon 0 carb as I was leaving . 2 hours later I checked and was 191 no shot no carbs & sugar went up . (thought it was the dental place LOl)
So did it again this morning just to see BS was 145 this morning did the same thing 2 hours later felt bad checked and it was 205 . Is that just the dawn stuff going on ?
Thanks Alan at least we know what the problem is now so we are gonna do it 1 more time in the morning then Thursday we will add 1/2 unit extra a day until I get it right . Why do some people have this and others dont ?
The ADA is very out of date, mistressbinky, when it says that numbers up to 180 are acceptable. Studies show that complications begin to form from consistent highs over 140, so that is a much better target goal. Some people on here aim for 120.
Thanks Guys this is Jo tylers mom . That is what we are trying to do Tylers sugar is going crazyyyyyyyyyy right now , at least we know why the morning is high so we are going to fix that .I think with Alans suggestion to add 1/2 unit extra in the morning will help cause we had gotten it to 150 at 2 hours in the morning so we need to just add a little more everyday until we get it fixed to a 120 # 2 hours after .
I think the HORMONES are acting up he has just turned 15. Thanks again guys for all the input & info ,more helpful then the docs sometimes .
