I am going in the hospital for a carotid stent. Where do I put my pump, considering I will be wearing a hospital gown?
I just clipped mine to the gown. That clippy thing will grab just about anything…but then again I am not so innovative when it comes ot fashion. good luck!
I’m not concerned with fashion, only a place to clip it so I don’t have a problem like causing it to become disconnected. Thanks for your comment.
Maybe wearing a belt? Talk about not being a slave to fashion!
A baby sock with a safety pin usually works well.
Ask for a hospital gown that has a pocket on the chest. They make them that way for the heart monitors to slide in the pocket. When I had my baby that is what I used was that kind of gown and ran the pump tubing up under the gown and slid it in the pocket.
do you get to wear underware? If so, then I usually clip it there in front (like when I sleep), looks funny, but oh well. If no underware, then maybe on the sleeve of the hospital gown?
I’ve always had gowns when in the hospital that had the front pocket. It’s great for the pump and does save possible headaches while there.
I third the ask for a gown with a pocket–mine lived there while I was in the hostpital
My Ipod came with an elastic strap with velcro on the end. You can strap that around your upper arm or leg and put the pump on that.
Sometimes I just stick mine in my underwear or if i’m using the clip I’ll clip that to my underwear and just tuck the tubing in there too, it works for me but I guess it would depend on your underwear.
If the gown has no pocket, I would just clip it to the collar.
