Oh the memories your blog brought back to me 
I missed a Taiwan typhoon by just 2 days (I was too late) once, but my co-workers “enjoyed” it. But last April I experienced rain in Taiwan like I’ve never experienced rain (and I live in the rainy Pacific Northwest). The intensity was unbelievable, like big buckets of water were being dumped by the gods.
