How are you handling holidays?

Good evening,how are the parties,celebrations going? I have 2 coming up next 10 days. I see my CDE on Dec13. So far so good. Awaiting to see what my A1c is. Fall was stressful,doing much better. I like my diet ginger ale and cranberry juice,makes a festive nice drink. Nancy

So does gin and tonic!
Luckily it is summer here and we will have salad with some kind of protein for Christmas dinner followed by fresh fruit which I am careful not to over-indulge on.

Just make sure it is diet tonic. And I actually don’t have that much trouble with the holiday dinners, I eschew the carby things and load up on the meat and non-starchy veggies. To round things out when I am going to a dinner when hosted by others I’ll being a side dish that I like and is “friendly.” And what I will usually do (putting on my confession hat) is overbolus for the meal and then i absolutely must have a small serving of desert.

What really get’s me over the holidays is the snacking.

We usually have champagne with Christmas lunch. The G & T I save until later in the day.
