How LOW have you gone?

I’ve been 12. That was what the paramedic tested me at. I was unconscious and a sweaty pool of mess. I had accidentally taken my bolus dose twice as a harried stay at home mom with a 2 and a 4 yr old. My 4 year old ran next door to my neighbors and she called 911.

I haven’t done that since using the last 2 Medtronic CGMs with smart guard. That is a life saver!!!

Dexcom said 39, fingerstick said 39. I think Dexcom woke me up.

My Blood BG was 23 I was unconscious and unresponsive when the EMS transported me to Mercy Hospital ER. The ER Nurses didn’t think I was going to make it but I came out of it I was lucky this time.

Dexcom woke me up at 39. Finger poke confirmed it.

My CGM has read LOW (no number) a few times, and the lowest number I’ve seen on my glucometer is 1.9 (the number system used in BC, Canada).

I was driving and totally out of it. Knocked down a high tension power pole, got thrown through the window, landed amid sparking wires, knocked out power to half the county. Paramedics measured my BG at 9. Thank God for my new CGM. Changed my life. I am 65 years old now, type 1 diagnosed at age 19.
