Humalog vs novolog

Has anyone switched from Humalog to Novolog any side effects

Yes. Increased insulin sensitivity. Faster insulin action. Increased infusion site longevity. Reduced inflammation. Reduced flushing. Way better numbers…

But I’m also VERY allergic to Humalog :woman_shrugging:

Most don’t seen to notice a difference, but some do have a distinct preference for various reasons. Don’t go in with any assumptions. It should be fine. If not, your doc can make a case for going back to the other.

I made the switch years ago with no problems, but as Robyn-H noted above, we all are unique. I would not be too concerned since many people that I know also have made the switch. Just watch your numbers and make any adjustments if you need to do so.

Thanks for the response,I will definitely keep a close watch when I switch over. I have enough Humalog for about 4-5 mos. And then to novolog.I’ve been on Humalog since it first came out over 30yrs ago.Back then I went from HumulinR to Humalog and that was good because the Humalog acted a lot quicker. I talked to my Endo and he was good with the switch also, all because of insurance. Thanks to everyone who responded.
