So I was on the way to the gym after work and I called my mom to check in because she kinda freaks out if I don’t (I know its out of love and concern over the diabetes thing) and she tells me that a california company called asking for me because they wanted to talk to me about a navigator. Apparently my father (who worked for ford motor company almost 40 years) thought I was looking to buy a Lincoln Navigator (which I would never be able to afford) so he told them that I wasn’t interested in the navigator anymore. I about died! I was freaking out over the phone when my mom was like “what the heck…” and I told her that the “Navigator” isn’t a car but my cgm the doc filed for me!
Instead of going to the gym I went home to call Abbott to explain the confusion and I ended up faxing them some missing info and now its just a battle with the insurance company.
My poor dad… lol. I showed him the website that had all the info on the navigator
That is ok, my dad thought a CGM was a an elctro-cardiogram. He thought i was dieing when I told him I needed a CGM. My son thought it might be a new disease. I did not correct either, I love miracle cures near certain demise.
I almost did! I’ve been holding my breath for MONTHS about getting a cgm and here my dad thinks its an overpriced luxury SUV and tells them Im not interested!
I seriously had to pull over my heart was racing so fast!
I think anyone would freak out when they’ve been trying for months just to hear back from the company let alone actually trying to get one and then out of confusion potentially throw the opportunity away lol
Too funny Sarah! Glad you were able to get it worked out…I am keeping my fingers crossed for you over the fight with the insurance company. Think positive thoughts!
