I don't have any luck with running my blood sugar numbers under 160 the entire day ( because when I do this I go low at least twice a day )

A CGMS isn’t like a pump - you aren’t changing how you inject insulin, It won’t have any impact on your weight.

Yep the Dex 7+ isn’t painful, and easy to insert. It is recommended you change it every 7 days, but some around here have gotten 30+ days out of one sensor. And like the others said 1 BG reading every 12hrs and it will even remind you to do that.



Dex recommends you use your abdomen for placement but others have used Arms, legs, back, and butt with great results.



I would give up my pump before I gave up my Dex!

Kelly said it correctly - the dexcom cgm is just a 13 mm wire (not sure of the size of the MM?) sensor that sits under your skin and reads the glucose in your interstitial fluid. That information is transmitted to a receiver. There is not infusion and therefore the cgm will not effect your weight. :slight_smile:
