Seeing as how Americans are the biggest consumers of red meat on the planet and also have some of the world’s highest cancer rates, the WHO findings make sense to me. In particular strong links have been found between high consumption of beef and colon cancer.
That aside, even without the recommendations from WHO, I would not touch American beef with a ten foot pole. That for the same reason that the European Union has had a ban on importing beef from the US, in place for several decades. In the EU they looked at the links between the high consumption of beef, the use of growth hormones that e.g. are known to cause puberty in girls down to the age of six or seven, and the extensive usage of antibiotics, and not to mention that half the US population is obese. All these factors combined speak volumes about the danger of eating beef from the U.S.
thanks for sharing. i am waiting for result of nuclear stress test. T1 50 years. Plant based 8 years. Cardioligist convinced me to do 2 statins/week as i had refused for years. LDL is 80-100.
Do you really beleive the statins caused the heart attacks or the super low LDL?
