Good luck with nursing - I did it 7 times (before I had diabetes) and that - plus taking care of a baby, in general - is in itself is a challenge. So good luck to you. And try to enjoy this special time with your baby. Before you know it they're grown up and flown the coop... (I know you probably can't even imagine that now).
As for low-carb, I am type I and very low-carbing as per Dr. Bernstein since I was diagnosed (a year ago). I also ate very low-carb at various times before that. I actually don't find it a big deal at all. There's lots of great food you can eat, and when I do this right I feel better than ever, in many ways not just sugar-wise.
