I need help!

So im on my last pod and tomorrow I have to take it off around 10 in the morning and I dont have any pods after that and I never took lantus that early in the morning, would it be okay? and how long after does lantus start to work once I inject it? should I take it when I bolus for breakfest?

I think that it is best to take your Lantus when you remove your pod, but no more that 2 hours later.

When I remove my pump, I take the Lantus right away, but check for lows in the first few hours.

Hopefully others will give idea too!

Kenny,

Are you leaving the pod??

Ron

Thanks!.

I ran out of pods and wont get another shipment untill the 22nd! =/

Have you called your pump supply company and explained to them. I know when I run short of supplies before my next shipment they will ship me more supplies to last me until my next shipment. Give that a try and see if they will help you.

whats a pod?

This is a pod.

It’s a tubeless insulin pump.

I don’t have a pump, but I take my basal (was on Lantus, now Levemir) first thing in the morning, along with a bolus injection. I also take basal right before bed. Know it’s not near the same as you setting basal rates with a pump, but hope this helps if you can’t get your pods in time.
