ICD10 Codes for Type 1 and Type 2

Right, which is why the correct code needs to be applied. We need to be sure of that as I can see we can trust NO ONE. In other parts of the world the code is still applied but not for insurance or payment purposes.

I am just trying to let folks know that In the statistical sense of the coding system, having the proper codes will offer the data to improve care and prove success and failure.

Geez - I guess I am the only one who is glad for these codes. My own diabetical ICD code provides me with all the things I need to keep from having more and even worse ones tacked on my chart.

And perhaps more importantly, at least to the patient, insurance companies use these codes to deny coverage for needed care & supplies.
