Insulin increased, site changed, doing great!

Last time I saw the doctor, my Levemir was changed to 18 units. After reading a recommendation to inject in the stomach, I changed from my thighs to my stomach. After about 3 days, I started seeing changes in my fasting BG. After waiting several more days to see if I would have a spike in the evening, I found that I was doing a lot better all day.

In order not to go too low, I have been injecting 1/2 in my stomach and 1/2 in my thigh. I am trying to get in the habit of testing before my injection at bedtime so I know whether to stay 1/2 and 1/2 or go back to my stomach.

I am also doing a lot of recording foods and bgs so I can see just exacting how I am reacting. Hopefully in the next few weeks, I will be able to work out an eating plan that I can stick to.

I have tried low carving, but when I put foods as off limited or severely restricted, then all I want to do is eat them. Just like a little kid. Maybe I am finally reaching my second childhood. LOL

congratulations on your understanding what to do which works for you
