I’m so happy to be living with my fiance, dog, cats, fish and bunnies now. But for many years I lived alone in my own home. Went super. I do stumble about and eat too much during night lows, but hey, I’ve got plenty of room for improvement and I do that whether or not I live alone. Even better - I traveled the country on my own for many many months (with cheaper gas, but barely any money) back in the years after school. The biggest lesson I learned doing that was how to arrange for friends to happen to live in nifty towns and let me stay and how to eat the most nutritionally dense affordable food (and eventually how to be humble enough to apply for food stamps:)) Those days were very liberating and empowering and there has been no looking back for me ever since. Taos, New Orleans, Boulder and many other towns “benefited” from a minute of my poetry performing. Oh, now I feel wanderlust. Go grab the world by the horns girl. You have nothing to fear!!
This is a great discussion! Just wanted to reply so that newer members can see it!
Great advice & encouragement here.
Hoping you’re better about this than I am, but I’m slack about cooking when my husband’s out of town. Instead of eating balanced meals, I get lazy. Did the same when I was single. So, keep lots of healthy stuff around & get into the good habit of treating yourself right by eating real meals.
Congrats on your CGMS!
