Another thing I just noticed...my BF was keeping his container of the Waist Away brand of RKs in his car and I picked it up a few hours ago and felt how hot it was...so that is NOT a good idea. He had lent me 38 of his to tide me over until my new order and I had noticed they were a different colour...know I know why...they were cooking in the hot car.
So I will keep my new ones in the fridge just to be sure. It would not be fair to blame the RKs for them not working if they have been kept in a hot car. It is like insulin degrading in extreme heat and we know children and dogs can die in a hot car....possibly adults, but they likely would be able to get out.
So if people want to take a day's supply of two to three with them for the day, use a separate container and leave the main container in the cool fridge. I should try and ask the manufacturer for the ideal storage temperature, but I am certain 120 degrees is not the right temp and that is how hot a car can get while parked in the sun.
