Making a difference

I really enjoyed listening to the video by Manny Hernandez. Very well done and so true! We need to share our ideas and experiences to help each other understand and control this disease. I have been a type 1 for 49 years…a true survivor that has seen many changes in technology and treatment.

ellen,
I just joined tudiabetes. My best friend has had type 1 for 45 yrs. She is not doing good. I have been staying with her on and off for a few months. I don’t understand what is going on with her. She got the pump about 3 months ago, her sugar will be over 6 hundred one minute and then drop below 40. she has almost went in diabetic coma several times.I’m starting to think she is causing all this for attention. She won’t eat right, yesturday I told her to please check her sugar 4 times, she refused.Left my work and went over a 50ft bank.I just don’t know what to do anymore. Carol
