Get this! Another diabetic came out of the woodwork to talk to me about a job. Only diabetics offer me good jobs. Isn’t that strange? It’s like being a Mason. We are a secret society, I think.

I was at a wedding and another guest who must have eagle eyes saw my one inch length of clear infusion tubing from under my belt to my pocket — don’t know how else? And asked me if I was on a pump. They also were hooked up to the Tandem pump in pocket.
We joked that we were the secret society of cyborgs.

I think its true. But its not just diabetics. Its also people who have donated kidneys, volunteer firefighters, and the like.
