Anyone else get a call from Minimed stating that their soft-sets are on back order until September?! Did they have another recall like last year that set them back? I use minimed tubing with my Animas pump, because my insurance will pay at a higher rate if I do, but am seriously considering calling Animas and ordering theirs. Anyone have experience with both and can give me feedback? Thanks!
While you are asking for free quick sets as Mark suggested ask for Sure-T’s as well ( MMT-864…new number ) …the tubing is 23 inches long …I will soon contact MM again asking for longer tubing , including asking for less waste by user by packaging the needle part only in boxes of 10 or larger amount , boxing rest of infusion set of 10 in other box . It is suggested to wear Sure-T’s for 2 days …I sometimes go a bit longer . Price is less too.

Nel, Minimed’s Sure-T’s only come in the paradigm connection - not luer lock, so that wouldn’t work for her.
The Contact Detatch, which is essentially the same set, is available from Animas though - they’re quite a bit cheaper than the insets are.
Sarah …thanks for noticing my response , which is of no use to Toni; apologies ! …come to think of it , I know a person , who uses the Contact D… she is an Animas user…and swears by them .Memories of past Tu member Dave_ came back .
Interesting twist today, as when I called minimed, they said that the sof-set isn’t showing back order today, so he put my order in quick before it would go back it would be on back order. So if anyone else needs to put in an order, I would hurry up and do it!
Sarah, the reason I was going with minimed instead of Animas is because my insurance pays a higher percentage with Minimed, because they have an in-state provider, and Animas does not. I really don’t want to switch, so I’m hoping Minimed has their act together.
That must feel better , knowing you can stay on the same path !
Maybe you still should ask for samples of other MM infusion sets , compatible with your Animas pump ??
