My Promise, Pledge and Oath to everyone

My Promise to you

As I perform my duty, Lord, Whatever be the call Help to guide and keep me safe, From dangers big and small. I want to serve and do my best No matter what the scene, I promise to keep my skills refined, My judgment sharp and keen. This calling to give of myself, most do not understand, But I stand ready all the time to help my fellow mankind. A word of thanks I might not hear, but knowing is enough, That I have helped just even one To go on to live and love.

My Pledge to you

A Firefighter’s Pledge I promise concern for others. A willingness to help all those in need. I promise courage - courage to face and conquer my fears. Courage to share and endure the ordeal of those who need me. I promise strength - strength of heart to bear whatever burdens might be placed upon me. Strength of body to deliver to safety all those placed within my care. I promise the wisdom to lead, the compassion to comfort, and the love to serve unselfishly whenever I am called.

My Oath to you

When they place the badge above their heart and pin it to their chest With an oath to serve and protect all life to do their very best Not knowing what the shift may hold or what the night will bring Prepared to face the worst of all to do most anything God bless those everyday making sure we’re safe in every way Bless them for risking their life when their back’s against the wall Keep them safe from all harm Lord protect them with your loving arms And take them back to their family home where they belong Saving a life from the jaws of flame or comforting a little child No matter the call, large or small they’re always by our side In times of distress they do their best assuring us it will be alright The pain that they feel is often our unrevealed kept inside Just by chance in the line of duty a life is lost, Lord let the family be strong Let them carry on the way it should be for every firefighter knows each time there rig rolls There’s a chance they will not return for the last bell that sounds is heaven Welcoming them home for a job.
