I'M GOING TO INDIA!!!

Okay so I know that's a bit on the risky side... but I'll tell you all about it when I get back. If you know Jesus, please pray for me. You all know I'm going to need it... with diabetes presenting a challenge in our regular North America, I'm sure I'll have my share of interesting experiences while traveling.

If you wish to know more, I've posted on my website http://val4india.webstarts.com/

Please post a comment when you're there!!!

Excited to return and share with AMAZING stories and pictures!

I had been to India twice... I was happy to be able to see Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Mumbai (before it was still Bombay) and Delhi. Indeed it was a very colorful, rewarding and extraordinary experience! People are friendly and places are a mixture of tradition, technology, and beauty. My first visit then was a part of UNESCO project. Indeed, just like many cities and countries in the world, they have their share of socio-economic problems.
Im pretty sure you will have some sort of a companion or guide during your travel, right? many lovely places to see and interesting people to meet. You will be amazed on how the cities are hustling and bustling and technology is comparable to some big cities. It is the extreme opposite however on rural places. Ive also discovered there are "medicines" that are cheaper and herbal and homeopathy practices are popular. And ...ohh...the food is something to feast on! Unfortunately, some are not diabetes friendly, but so worth trying :)
Take care and best wishes on your endevores.
