Nutrition in the Fast Lane - Helpful booklet for fast food eaters

Went to a free Diabetes Expo yesterday and got some neato freebies (no strips though :( ). One is a booklet called "Nutrition in the Fast Lane" - It has all the nutrition info for all items at the fast food restaurants and some sit down places like Boston Market and Dennys. Funny I haven't eaten at a fast food restaurant in like four years but seems like such a useful book to have if you do. But Einsteins Bagels in there too and I used to love that place. I do think they have their nutritional info online and at the restaurant too (Panera is good for this too) but I know not all places have that readily available.

Here is the restaurant list:

Unfortunately it doesn't look like it is available free online but you can order it. But if you eat out at fast food places a lot, it might a worthwhile booklet to have.

I was shocked at the high carb amount in some of the stuff I used to eat.: )

its kind of funny but the info is really only good for the US, since many of their canadian counter parts the numbers are different … McDs being one of the strangest differences I found between the two countries when it comes to carb counts and fat counts to to mention sodium counts, but its all do to country regulations on fast food as to why there is such a difference between the two counter parts.

A good site to look some of the fast food stuff up is CalorieKing.com the site actually has a entire area for fast foods that can be rather helpful in general if you are looking to compare one place to another (most of the entries are american, very few entries are from other countries unfortunately).
