and another worm story mentioning type I
This would really be my luck, a type I cure that involves be infected with some seriously nasty looking worms. :( I'm not a germophobe. I'm not even all that big on washing my hands. I don't own any of that sanitizer crap. But the idea of this really upsets me. But if it wasn't for that, it's kind of awesome... like it seems so natural somehow, like I wouldn't feel like I wanted to wait 20 years to see how the people who did it turned out. Like maybe we were sort of meant to run into the worms periodically as part of our natural state. Apparently people get these worms all the time. But I seriously don't know if I could handle it. And it sounds like you might have to have an active case of these worms all the time? Oh my crap. When I first heard of it I thought maybe I could have some xanex or something for the duration of the infestation, but not if it's the rest of my life.
I'm curious if there's anyone who thinks they might not be able to do it... If this comes to pass (which I of course would love to see since it would save many lives and probably lengthen mine by quite a bit), I think it will feel pretty harsh to be making the decision between remaining diabetic on the one hand or becoming infested with worms on the other. What a freaking decision! I need one of those hurling smilies about now.
