Finally I got the new omnipod update for iPhone so now I can use G7 sensors and I can ditch the controller.
Crazy that it took this long but I got it up and going a with no issues.
It now allows for extended bolus and I’m fairly sure it didn’t before. I don’t normally use that function but it’s good to know it’s there.
Temp basal is another good one that is still an option.

I wish you could do an extended bolus while remaining in Automatic mode as well as bolus while extended bolus is in process. At least that’s the way it is on G6.
Definitely a plus with Tandem.
Yes Tandem is the only one that does that.
It’s not a big deal to switch to manual and do Temp bolus. You just need to remember to switch back.
I don’t understand why it’s prevented on omnipods.
I mean bolus are not dealt with the same way as basal, so ther is no real reason to prevent it.
True, but when on extended bolus with omnipod 5, you can’t bolus for additional food intake. I could try and figure out a temp basal amount, but too many variables.
