Q: When both apps are open and asleep- Omni app changes from bolus to an hour time-line. Freezes. I cannot get out of that page. Tap everywhere. Nothing. I have to restart Omni app to return to the bolus page. Is this normal? How can I automatically return to Bolus page?

Android or iPhone? Omnipod app works fine when G7 app isn’t running?
That does not sound normal, it sounds frustrating though! it’s probably prudent to phone Insulet with your specifics.
I have iPhone app for both, Omnipod 5 and Dexcom G7. I have Omnipod app set to awaken with a thumbprint. Once I tap my thumb it seems like it’s on whichever menu I left open…and the home button in the lower left corner will bring back the home menu.
By the way @D-PhD welcome! FuD will be a good source of answers to all the flaky and weird things our devices and our insulin do to us to keep us wondering “What’s next?”. Stick around, hopefully somebody has a more specific solution to the app issue.

I have Omni pod 5 and G7. I just recently switched to the new iPhone ap.
The instructions tell you to keep the dexcom ap running so I do.
And I prefer the alarms on the dexcom anyway.
Depending on where my pod is, sometimes my phone loses connection to my pod , but with both apps running, it almost never happens that both apps are missing data
If I were you I would uninstall both apps and reinstall.
My new omnipod ap has been running great for a week.
And it has a new feature that I didn’t understand before.
If you take a large bolus let’s say 7 units. And your insulin limit is 10 units like mine was, your pump will pause insulin when it reaches that limit.
This is different from other pumps.
Anyway when you hold your phone sideways, you see more info.
Blank is normal red is paused for glucose level and orange is paused for hourly limit.
So my pump was pausing every time I delivered a bolus, and I couldn’t understand why my glucose would go to 170 and not come down.
The controller doesn’t clue you into that this is happening.
So I changed my max insulin to 15 and it stopped happening.
