I just do NOT know what to do here today.
Mary just had a physcial YESTERDAY at her pediatrician's office. All was well. She did not have any shots.
Today she can hardly walk, she has pain on her right side and says her right arm hurts (she won't even let me touch it) and her right leg hurts (she is limping). No Fever. I checked her urine with a dip stick, no blood, no WBC, no protein. Just a very high PH.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
How can you tell if it's appendicitis? Thyroid related (she was dx. with + thyroid AB last Jan. So they are just watching it. Does it resemble any symptoms of Celiac?
If she is not better soon, I will take her to the ER
Take her tothe ER now!
I agree with Knorris. Get her to the hospital ASAP. This is not celiac, and it's not thyroid. Appendicitis is characterized by rebound pain in the lower right abdominal quadrant -- that is, if you press her belly below and to the right of the belly-button, and it hurts MORE when you let go than when you press on it, that's rebound pain. It could radiate out, I'm not sure... but whether it is, or whether it isn't, she needs to be checked out.
