Take a look at TAG - it will really open your eyes to a successful diabetes management regime. Approx 40% of protein is converted to Carbohydrates - so don’t fall for the “low / Zero” carb shakes. If it has 20 grams of protein then you dose for approx 8 grams of carbs in an extended bolus over 3 - 3.5 hours, otherwise you will spike up.
