Now that Dexcom finally released a version of Studio that works in Win 8, I would like to remove the workaround. Just mainly to clean my system, no functional reason. Thank you for the workaround, my CDE loved getting the reports again.
Just uninstall the old version before installing the Windows 8 compatible version. Works great that way. The old version work around was a simple insert into the registry to find the USB/Serial converter connection easier. By uninstalling you also remove this workaround.
There is no "uninstall" function in the workaround. I will be looking into the registry for the entry.
