My family has started indoor rockclimbing, and we love it!
My only issue is that the harness gets caught on my infusion set or my Dexcom (I’ve lost 1 of each when top-roping back down)
Any climbers have any advice other than sticking to bouldering?
(I can’t keep using the sites above my belly button)
One thing I have learned about diabetes is that those of us with it, don’t let stuff keep us from doing what we want. I don’t have any experience with rock climbing. Looking at the harnesses online, well they vary quite a lot.
When I knew I would be getting a Tandem tubed pump, I was concerned with what to do with it when on the bicycle. I also worried about not snagging the tubing on door knobs or whatever.
I pretty much solved all those problems with a mildly elastic belt that I wear under my shirt. The tubing is under my clothes and any excess can be tucked under the belt. This has worked very well.
I found this article by a woman rock climber. She had similar issues as you. She doesn’t mention the Dexcom. Where do you place it? And what do you wear when climbing?
