Insulet had a promotion when I made the switch from Tandem to the Omnipod. I had two years to go with the Tslim. I don’t know if they’re still doing it but the deal was you pay $200 for the PDM or the (handheld manager) and the insurance pays for the pods. If you are interested I would talk to your diabetes manager or call Insulet. I am definitely sticking with the pod as long as I’m able to. There’s nothing better IMO than being tubing free. Be aware though you will not be able to use the pod past it’s experation time because it will shut down. Also the PDM is FAR from being the latest in technology if you want that the Tslim is WAY better but for me I’m more than happy to give that up for the pod and there is a new system on the horizon for probably later this year.
