Back in the groove following vacation and a winter cold

While dealing with my recent cold I set my basal rates at +20% for a few days up until a day before this trace. I attribute the gentle roll of this BG line to the response to the boosted temp basal withdrawal. I had run that temp basal for over 48 hours. When I started to scrape bottom, I stopped the temp basal and had this bouncing reaaction. As you can see the higher excursion between 4 and 10 a.m. was not caused by a meal. I didn’t eat that day till just before noon.

I did a 1.1 unit 6 a.m. correction via the pump. I probably should have done that intramuscular or IM. The bottom Diasend graph illustrates well my current dosing scheme. I deliver a carb bolus for each meal followed by an extended multi-hour protein/fat bolus.

While this wavy line is what I target, it did stay in range for a high percentage. I ate less than 30 grams of carbs and met all my daily goals:

96% Time in Range (65-140 mg/dl)

1% Time low (< 65 mg/dl)

24 Standard Deviation

104 mg/dl Average
