Skin injuries at altitude

Hi. I am currently at 5000 metres trekking in Nepal. I have Type 1. Today I fell and injured my face. Broken skin and soft tissue damage. Being t1 are there any special concerns I should have. Has anyone experienced anything similar at this altitude. I am concerned about infection and slower healing.
Any informed advice appreciated.

Not at that altitude, but I did significantly bust up my leg on a 20K peak int he west. it bled more, hurt more and it healed better. My advice is to watch the blood loss, keep warm, and come down if you can. If not shelter in pace and wait for the return pickup. Hypothermia is nothing to mess with.
