Stress Levels

Oh no drsoosie, I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I know those are horrible things to go through and it's a great tribute to your spirit, much of which undoubtedly comes from your dad, that you got through it keeping your BG in line in such a tough situation. Peace be with you and your family.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your father!

health care professional often say 'stress' causes high blood sugars, I haven't really found that stress (at least emotional) does anything to my blood sugars. I mean, if I (we) use that analogy, then, when I'm low, especially really low, I'm totally stressed, have adrenaline and everything pumping through me, literally, and nothing is going to increase those blood sugars other then some glucose. physical stress or trauma (surgery, etc..) is of course something else.

Thank you Zoe. I am trying but it is a difficult time.

Thank you AR. I am still planning on running in April. My Dad would never forgive me if I didn't continue to do the things I love.

Thank you Sarah.
