Struggling with costs of living

I know there have to be ways of fiscal help for diabetics out there. I have 3 small children ages 5 and 1.
When I was working 45-50 hours a week I was struggling to keep food on the table and insulin in my pump. People have told me to leave the pump and go back to injections, but the pump saved my life and insides from failure, so I am scared to go back. Now my work has capped our hours to 30 per week. The state wont help us because I make $35 too much for assistance. I have gotten to the point of eating sometimes only 3 meals a week. Just so that my kids can eat. I have heard that because of my health condition I should be able to apply for grants but have not been able to find any. The ones i have found are for women with diabetes, families with children who are diabetic, none for male diabetics. If anyone out in this awesome community may know somewhere to look that I have not yet been. I really need something or I may just have to do whats best for my family and let the diabetes take me away from them. Thanks for looking and hope to get some feedback.

P.S. I have been Type 1 for nearly 20 years now. April 1, 1993. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Holy smokes Barney!

You need to become a strategic shopper and NOW!!

Join my group. My spouse and I are both unemployed… i’m a student. We have no insurance, and we we make $2 too much on husbands Unemployment Insurance to get help. I get a lot of food for free or very inexpensively… You are clearly smart… so let’s get you “smart shopping” and saving enough so everyone is well fed and your meds are paid for with a few $$ to spare ok?
