I’m really starting to get in to these mom and pop startup beverage companies. While reading through some SXSW stuff I found this company Sweet Leaf Tea. They’re located in Austin, Texas. I’m noticing a trend where these companies are really trying to produce low sugar, low calorie beverages that taste good. When I try some of the diet drinks from some of the bigger companies I have to ask myself “who thinks this tastes good enough to sell?” These smaller companies are starting to win me over. I’m always happy when there are more options out their for diabetics, and of late I’ve been happy a lot!
On a personal note - had a pretty awesome doctor’s visit this morning. A1C was up, but that was expected because of one particular medication I was trying out. Now I’m not trying it out anymore and hopefully we’ll get back down into the 5’s very soon. Even hit the top heart rate on my stress EKG without flying off the treadmill!
