Tetohuxtle Tea

Has anyone heard of or used tetohuxle tea? It is from the Lacandones Indians from the Sierra Chiapaneca area in Mexico. It is supposed to be good for diabetics? Does anyone have any recommendations besides Green Tea? Thanks…

I’ve seen pu’erh (fermented tea) said by some to help control blood sugars. It’s also supposed to be good for cholesterol. Also, mulberry leaf is said to help with metabolism of carbohydrates, blood sugar control, and suppressing cravings for carbs. It can be found in teas.

Might work for Type 2, but doubtful it would be beneficial for Type 1 diabetics. Could be dangerous to use with insulin.
