Some feminist academic (and I should really know her name) spoke about how women have “leaky bodies”. Well, let me tell you, my body has been the epitome of that for the past two weeks!

I’m dealing with the usual finger pricks, of course. A bit of blood here and a drop of blood there, but it’s no big deal. But then you add to it:
-
Sinus surgery, which requires saline spray. This produces mucous, which is often blood tinged - or just chunks of dried blood. Yummy. And then:
-
My period starting. Both 2) and 3) affect blood sugars, necessitating more 1) than usual. I feel like it’s the best I can do at the moment to sit on the couch and bleed from various parts of my body. It’s crazy in here, and tomorrow I have to go back to work and deal with all this on top of my job and the usual stresses of living, AND I have a huge deadline for my thesis tomorrow. Fun fun times in my life.
