The Great A1c Race

Pretty proud to say that I brought my A1c is down to 6.8 exactly 9 weeks after it was 11.1 at diagnosis. Still have a ways to go, but that was definitely encouraging.

That's a great improvement! Way to go!

That is great news. You have really made outstanding progress.

But remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. We will be here as you make it to mile 26.1 and you reach the hill. That is really what separates the non-diabetics from the real men.

Congratulations!! That A1c probably still reflects some of your time pre-diagnosis so the distance to go may be less than you think.

I definitely noticed blury vision for a number of weeks when I first started getting my act together... Still think I do occasionally, but nowhere near to the extent that was going on a month ago. Have an eye apt at the end of the month... hope thats not too soon.

BIG Congrats!!
