The high's and lows of a new pumper

So yesterday didn't go smoothly. Last night was rocky as well. I went to bed with a unit or so on board (according to the PDM) and was woken up at 3:15 am by my G4 going off. Reading on the G4 said 55 and going down. So I did a stick test and sure enough 52. Ate 2 glucose tabs and waited. 20 minutes later I was at "low" on both. Though the G4 reading (which it will give you if you hit "enter BG reading" was 32!

I hate to say panic mode kicked in. I drank a glass of OJ and ate 2 cookies. Finally, at around 4:15 I hit 68 with a nn up arrow and fell into an exhausted heap.... to be woken up by my Dex telling me that I was at 190 at around 6am. I took the normal bolus for the OJ and cookies and went back to bed. Woke up to get my son ready for school at a lovely 301 :\ Well, G4 said 301 and stick test verified 298. No ketones and no "high symptoms" which was odd. Dosed on the pod for correction and now, after breakfast I am at a lovely 101 and steady :D

Oh the joys of the roller coaster called Diabetes!! Good work on keeping on top of it :)
