I really would like to try the Pod to see if I would like it. I’ve read a lot of bad reviews on it though and wonder about that. I know from first hand exp that I usually don’t post unless I’m unhappy so all the good stories you don’t really get that much.
I’m hoping that I can have a trial run before I have to make up my mind and see how I would like it, sleep with it, just live with it in general. I’ve been on a DIABETIC BURN OUT streak for the last 3years now and don’t really know how to pull it back together.
I’m hoping by connecting with other people that are going through the same I will find my way again. Thanks for being here.
I didn’t realize that the Pod didn’t have the IOB feature to include bolus and basals… That would not be good in my case b/c I’m a grazer… any comments on that?
I’m using the omnipod and it has worked great for me… There is also a certain period of time that you can return it if you don’t like it. Also there is a group of pod users.
My plan (eventually) is to try Omnipod as my first pump choice. If it turns out I don’t get the occlusion problems so many podders report when inserting new pods and I can get reliable insulin delivery at sites that work on my body, like on my stomach, then I will probably keep it. Beyond that I can accept a certain pod failure rate. But if my bg goes wacky every 3 days when I insert a new pod, then I will go to whatever is my second choice pump after the 45 day trial period ends.
