…I went to CVS to refill my diabetes scripts. I got a 90 day supply of 2 oral meds, test strips, lancets, insulin, & pen needles. And of course I had to re-up on alcohol pads & glucose gel. I’m now one of those people in line that takes FORVER to get everything together… and the person you don’t want to be behind if you’re in a hurry.
As the line grew behind me, I could see some people rolling their eyes & getting upset while I made sure I had the right number of test strips & lancets. Then I paid almost $200 for everything. I heard someone behind me say “wow”.
Wow is right, I thought, as I carried my shopping bag of supplies out of there. I get the same looks from people every time I go…now at least it’s every three months instead of every month.
