Took the next step today

After 8 years of using Medtronic pumps, finally took the next step today of adding a CGMS to my 722. The CDE showed me the ropes and got it started. I have to say the needle for the sensor does hurt a bit going in, but I suppose I’ll adjust. Didn’t really want another piece of hardware to stay on top of, but my A1C has been less stable and unpredictable the past couple of years. I’m hoping this helps bring me back into tighter control. I was surprised Aetna approved the CGMS within 24 hours of Medtronic contacting them, particularly since my main problem is not low bg. I guess we’ll see how I do at keeping this thing calibrated.
