I’m currently on apidra and my endo gave me a sample of novorapid to try because the Tslim doesn’t like apidra. I forgot to ask how I need to transition across.
I presume I just need to start a new resovoir and fill it with novorapid, but I would still have some apidra in my system and the tiny amount left in my cannula so is it okay that they mix?
I don’t think there’s any problem with having both in your system. I’ve used both, and for me, Novolog is about 15% more effective, meaning I get the same efficacy with 15% fewer units of Novolog than Apidra. Apidra also seems to have slightly quicker onset, and slightly shorter duration for me.
