Where do you guys wear your transmitter while just laying on the beach so it is not so noticeable?
I wear the sensor/transmitter on my stomach so it’s covered by my bathing suit. The receiver goes in my beach bag, which also protects it from heat/sand/water/etc.
I really don’t care if it is noticeable.
I usually wear it on my stomach above my belt line. So it is out of my swimsuit. My last trip to Miami, I was wearing it on my upper arm.
For swimming, etc, on my abdomen just below the waist. Trunks hold it well. Receiver in a two-way radio dive bag.
I will have to try below the waist. I have been only using stomach due to my physical work and seems to be holding well and holding up to conditions!!!
Guys lie on the beach?
I usually don’t change the placement of the transmitter at all; it’s usually in the back of the arm. Years ago I was in Hawaii with the insulin pump site in the abdomen, and I used IV3000 to secure the site. When it was time to change the site I discovered that the IV3000 acted as a sunblock and I had a nice square of lighter, untanned skin on my gut. That looked strange.
Let me clarify no lying on the beach just hanging out in the beach chair with the wife or chasing my kids up and down the beach. I sometimes do not like to look like a bionic man.
Do to my line of work I’m unable to place it on my arms and I can not squeeze an inch on my arms.
Thanks for thanks for the replies
Almost two months on Dexcom and doing great.
