Verifying Your Email Address

Due to numerous issues reported in connection to the validation of email addresses, this requirement has been eliminated for current members.

Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We wanted to let you know that Ning, the platform which hosts TuDiabetes.com, is requiring a ONE TIME email verification for current members of their networks as part of a new spam prevention program.

We here on the admin team wanted to let you know that this verification request is coming, let you know how to respond, and thank you in advance for your cooperation.

New members on TuDiabetes and other Ning networks will now verify their email addresses when they sign up. After entering their email address, password, birthday and the CAPTCHA (a CAPTCHA is the code of numbers and letters that new members fill in to confirm that they’re real people on the sign up page), they’ll be sent a verification email. By clicking a link in the email they receive, they can finish signing up for that particular network. For our current members, you will receive a similar verification email.

Here’s what members (current and new) will see when you are asked to verify:

Once your email address is confirmed on one Ning Network, it’s confirmed for all, which means this is a simple, one-time process.

Together, email verification and an improved CAPTCHA will go a long way in ensuring that our members are real people who are going to contribute to the community in positive ways. If you have any questions about this process, please let us know through the “Contact Us” link.
