The ice was so nasty on the ground at Green Mountain today that we could not snow shoe today. I made up for it with cardio intervals on the treadmill. WOW - -that really knocked me out. My polar monitor said I burned 1250 calories — LOL – ok, i don’t quite believe that but it’s fun to monitor regardless. I actually wear it just to ensure I stay in my optimum heart rate range. I started the day before breakfast with Tai Chi. I had never done it before and I absolutely loved it. I am not one who can meditate – I can never clear my head. But Yoga and now Tai Chi may be my solution to that centering. I can definitely get out of my own head by focusing on the movement of my body. It’s very grounding.
