Thank you for your response. I have yet to be satisfied with my current endo….a NP when I changed to their practice for the endo who was well-regarded. My NP called to cancel or change last appt..(her wedding) and I did not like new time so I asked for appt with endo himself….none for two months so I took that appt to get with him…not sure I will be his patient nowl
My NP is far more dialed in and knowledgeable than my GP or my Endo.
Mitch, Thank you for your response. I was assigned to a NP when I fired my old endo….only to be told endo was not taking new patients…..I now have an appt with him and I hope it is not just a one time thing and he keeps me as a patient. Hope he “listens” well as I have not had that experience with two previous endo, PA, and NP.
I had an appt. with a not bad endo and it was just like y’all described. Thanks for preparing me so I could make good use of the hour and twenty minute appointment. Seriously, it would have been weird because I’ve never experienced respect from an endo before.
SPDIF glad you had a good day if you did, I couldn’t tell from your note. I’ve had a bad experience with two endoo, a PA, nurse practitioner. I’ve got more help from this forum than in three years of medical personal.
No doctor is going to be a perfect fit for what I need. I’m struggling with the decision if this particular endo meets enough of my needs to make the money, insurance pays zero for this doc, and time, commute and appointment added up to 7.5 hours, worth it. We were finishing each others sentences at times so it was pretty good. People here are great but we don’t replace your doctor.
SPDIF: This form doesn’t replace what the doctor can do but as far as information and guidance they way exceed any of my Endos. , I didn’t even know that my doctor was recommending the pump as he was walking out the door, mumbling something I found out when the Dietician contacted me for an appointment. To look at pumps . I have not even had the Endo look at me really the first second one said what do I do for fun that was his entrance.
