What Is An NPB/G?

My insurance will no longer cover One Touch. I can’t find NPB/G on internet.

I tried some Google searches and also came up empty. I did find this table that seems to show insurance coverage for various diabetes pharmacy items. At the bottom of the page I saw this legend that defined various acronyms used in the table.

It might be possible that your insurance company threw that “NPB/G” lingo at you and they really just meant that One Touch is a NPB or “non-preferred brand.” The G could mean generic.

For the love of plain English …
