Wings and Chips and Beer....OH MY. What's a person with D to do.
A couple of large screen TV's plus family and friends and you have a Super Bowl Party with all the wings, ribs, chip and dip plus beer expected at these gatherings of the man club.
I guess I will be playing it by ear and trying to count more than the game score and statistics.
I'm not a sports fan, and obviously not a guy, but would it defeat the manly code if you did minor adaptations such as bring some celery and carrot strips for the dips? What about the wings (again, what does a vegetarian know?) Are they sweet or the spicy stuff? I drink dark beer and bolus for 14 carbs but only drink one. Would it be totally off the hook, getting you kicked out of the man club if you brought wine instead? Or lite beer if you like it? Or you could be more studly yet and drink a mixed drink like bourbon and soda or rum and diet coke which is carb free!
Well, for me, veggies and dip, wings, ribs and a dry red wine. I don't think there is any problem. Well, except for me not being a football fan and really not caring about the game that much. But nothing some wings can't fix.
Wow, I thought I was the only football holdout on the planet! I turned down an invitation to Thanksgiving because it was all about turkey and football, two things I just don't do! Sounds like you have a good food plan, enjoy!
Oh Zoe, I'm a Tennesssee redneck and wine just isn't my thing. I don't drink the hard stuff either because it makes me stupid real fast. It definately will be lite beer though. Ha
To be honest I'm not that big a fan of football either but my sons and their friends are. "The Old Man" as I'm know by the younger crowd is just along for the ride because he owns the televisions. I will enjoy the game and I will enjoy hanging out with my boys and their friends. But the food is my downfall which I plan to enjoy in moderation.
Wow, two non-football guys! I already respect you both, but you just got added points in my scorebook! Hopefully the fun and family will occupy your mind and the substitutions or moderations will not make you feel too deprived.
