Whats your ISF/I:C?

Wow thats a high ISF…I think from my insulin to carb ratio one unit only drops me maybe 50 points but I have not tested my ISF without food just to bring down a high so I will need to test this out soon.

Interesting – I fall into that category too, although my diabetes showed up 20 years ago. I’m only slightly insulin-resistant, and don’t see any reason to mess around with Metformin, because of its GI side-effects, and the fact that I’m usually under 40u TDD. I’d almost certainly be lower if I’d exercise more! :-S And my hospital stay proved that I’m definitely insulin deficient, although I’ve never had a C-peptide. I’m saving that for next year when I start the process to go on Medicare.

I’m typically 1:5 and ISF 25. Being 5 months pregnant, I’m 1:2 in the morning and 1:4 the rest of the day. ISF still 25.

It think it’s normal to have to change your I:C a few times per year-
I have to change mine when I have my menstrual cycle. haha.

Have you had those ratios for a while. I use 1:8 or 1:12 and have a isf of 55 mg/dl about. Does your isf stay thé same all day

i must be a lada t1 because i try not to shoot up a bolus if i know im exercising after a meal. ill eat about 25 or 30 grams of carbs, go for a 5k run and be back down in the low 100s after that. ill eat lunch and then cycle 30 minutes to work and normally be ok. this is with 2u/6u levemir am/pm. if im at a resaurant and know im having a carby meal then i have to use a bolus.

i dont usually have to correct except for the week before my period and only in the last couple of months. the 1500 rule (or 1800, or any rule) doesnt work for me-i corrected a 285 yesterday(felt TERRIBLE)and i was at 140 two hours later. corrected a 225 the day before, at 83 two hours later!

If i eat 30 g carbs i would not bolus either but how long you Been t1. How long does lada last. I Been T1 since âge 20 and now 30 i find my carb ratios à pretty much thé same but m’y isf is much higher almost twice. I think its à hormonal difference

ive only been t1 for about 2years (only-haha). lada will last different amt of time for different ppl, so dont know.
why is the isf like that? no idea? i know im pretty sensitive to insulin. i do lots of exercise, could it be that? i hate how my doctor has no friggin idea....

I:C breakfast 1:18
I:C Lunch 1:25
I:C Dinner 1:30
ISF 70

Ya sometimes doctor treat us à bit like numbers, m’y question because i find that 1 unit drops you à lot but need à lot of insulin for 10 carbs.

Mine are
1:8 breakfest
1:10 lunch
1:12 diner

Isf 1: 54

Lantus: basal ( 22 lantus)
Does anyone else have similar ratios i find that i would feel more comfertable if my isf would be around 1:36

Also i find that if i correct + meal bolus 1 unit does not drop me as far. Any one else accounter this

So your i:c is 1:7 carbs. What did you say your isf was
