Where to recycle old PDM's and Dexcom receivers in Canada?

Does anyone know where to recycle old Omnipod PDM’s and Dexcom receivers in Canada? Would any electronics recycling do? Or would it have to be a medical place??

what’s wrong with a trash can?

I was taught that you shouldn’t throw away electronics in general. They are worse for landfills than regular trash becasue they contain chemicals that can leach into the soil and water.

Many stores such as London Drugs take back old electronics for recycling.

I doubt the Dexcom receiver would be problematic for them, but I’m not sure about the PDM, since it may have come into contact with blood. Then again, so could your old computer keyboard if you had a cut on your finger while typing.

I just can’t get that worked up about it. so many larger things to worry about.
